Two mountain bikers riding RAMBA's trails near Marquette, MI

RAMBA Trails

Mountain bikers seeking an old-school, adrenaline-pumping adventure should hit up the RAMBA Trails around Negaunee and Ishpeming. Handbuilt over thirty years, these trails offer a unique and rugged experience.

As a Bronze Level IMBA Ride Center, RAMBA delivers over 80 miles of meticulously crafted trails across the Iron Range. Ride through the scenic hills of Negaunee and Ishpeming, and you might stumble upon some fascinating remnants of the West End's mining history, including unexpected foundations and staircases in Old Town Negaunee. For a new and exciting challenge, try the RAMBA Malton Loop, a 6.4-mile trail perfect for beginners or intermediate riders, with 485 ft. of elevation gain and 381 ft. of descent, featuring flowing trails with narrow, wooded, rocky, and rooty terrain. Intermediate riders can also enjoy the RAMBA Flannel Shirt Trail, a one-mile trail with a 129 ft. elevation gain and 243 ft. descent, offering a fun reward after a bit of climbing on the Luge.

For a true taste of the local scene, join the legendary Wednesday night group ride, departing from Westend Ski and Trail at 6:30 PM. It's open to all, with groups for every skill level. On Sunday mornings, meet at the Rainbow Bar for the "church ride," starting at 10:00 AM. For more fun in RAMBAland, book a camping trip at the brand new Brasswire Campgrounds or sign up to race in one of the epic annual events that take place on the RAMBA trails like the Polar Roll and Marji Gesick 100.
